Julie Cottineau, founder and CEO of Brand Twist, will host a workshop for women on branding in Ridgefield in February.

The workshop will feature Julie Cottineau on how to move all those brand lurkers who "like" your brand into actual paying and profitable clients. The meeting will take place at noon at the Tigers’ Den Sports Bar & Grill at 23 Catoonah St.

Cottineau is founder and CEO of BrandTwist, a brand consultancy that helps entrepreneurs and corporations build their brands and leverage them as actionable business assets. She was the VP of Brand at Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, overseeing branding strategy for new and established Virgin companies in North America.

“You know what they say, branding is what they say about you when you’re not in the room,” says Amy Polacko, co-leader of Ridgefield B.I.G. “That’s why Julie’s advice will be so important for business owners – or those starting a business – to hear.”

“In my experience, with the right tools and guidance, women can really rock at branding. All great branders prioritize relationships, are good at collaboration and bring their intuition into play. Women often feel that to succeed at business they need to put on their 'man suit' – but I believe our feminine instincts can really be positive influences in building strong brands, and a strong brand is a businesses’ secret weapon,” Cottineau said

Hundreds of women across the country are already participating in B.I.G. Believe, Inspire, Grow. This membership-based organization use face-to-face community meetings, an interactive website and monthly teleconferences to provide intelligent women a positive and educational support network to help move their business ideas forward.

Founded in September 2009 in Bernardsville, N.J., B.I.G. has been rapidly expanding throughout the nation.

The B.I.G. Ridgefield pod meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. The meeting is open to women in all stages of their careers and the optional $15 lunch includes tax and gratuity.
