Scream For This: New Gofer Ice Cream Shop Expands To Wilton

WILTON, Conn. -- Ice cream season is upon us and, lucky for Wilton, a new Gofer Ice Cream is coming to town.

This will be the fifth area Gofer Ice Cream shop.

A lease for the new location that fronts 379 Danbury Road in the building that houses the Wilton Deli, was signed earlier this month. This location will be owned and operated by Franchisee Jordan Savitt with plans to open by the end of June.

Savitt also owns Gofer Ice Cream in Darien.

According to Jay Ragusa, founder and president of Gofer Ice Cream LLC, this is a milestone for the company in that they now have independent franchisees.The company looks forward to awarding additional franchises in the Fairfield County area and has a goal of establishing eight to 10 locations.
