Southport's Menaji Worldwide Carves Out Market For Men's Skincare Products

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Menaji Worldwide, a skincare company in Southport, created a line of men's skincare products often used by celebrities and models. But the line is perfect for any man who wants to look his best.

Makeup artists depended on the products from Menaji Worldwide for the male models who walked the catwalk for the recent New York Fashion Week show.

The King's Highway company founded in 2000 by a former makeup artist combines natural ingredients to make the corrective cosmetics and skincare products for men, Menaji CEO and senior partner Pamela Viglielmo told Daily Voice.

She has worked for 25 years in the beauty industry and founded The Gramercy House, a marketing and sales consulting firm.

The men's line fills a void in the skin care industry.

Probst worked with dermatologists and skincare formulators to develop the line. The products are "fast-acting and problem-solving."

They include cleansers and products that protect skin as well as correct and conceal problems. The cosmetics for men are needed for high-definition camera and film work. What's good about these products is that they are undetectable, she said.

Among these is a facial scrub, deep cleansing masque, no water needed clear shave gel, non-shine lip balm with SPF 15, quick-acting eye rescue treatment called 911 Eye Gel, a 12-hour facial moisturizer, anti-aging night treatment and concealing products.

"We were the first to market with concealer sticks and anti-shine pressed powders for men," said Viglielmo. These include Urban Camouflage Camo Concealers and HDPV Anti-Shine Powders.

Menaji provided the talent and products for 22 male models who walked the runway in the Fashion Week show for designer Asaf Ganot, Viglielmo said.

"They looked great, simple, clean, handsome, all natural looking. They loved the products and the makeup artists who were new with our line said the products were perfect, easy to blend, undetectable and perfect under the harsh runway lights," she said.

Men need different skincare products from women for many reasons.

"Men's skin is thicker and oilier, with larger pores and facial hair. Menaji products deliver quick solutions, exfoliation, light, fast-absorbing hydration, reduction of under-eye puffiness, removal of skin shine, topical blemishes, redness, hyperpigmentation, scars and tattoos," Viglielmo said.
