FlyBuy Technologies is a Seattle-based startup that aims to change the takeout industry by providing any restaurant the ability to be a “mobile” drive-thru. Customers order food on their phones and have it brought out to their cars as soon as they arrive at the store.

With many national retailers such as Amazon rolling out curbside pickup services at their stores, FlyBuy gives local retailers the ability to compete. The app eliminates the need for restaurants to build an expensive physical drive-thru and helps local restaurants provide individuals and families with a faster alternative to typical fast food drive-thrus.

Using real-time predictive GPS data, FlyBuy enables employees to know when the customer is driving en route, nearby and arrived. With the order item prepared and already paid for, a quick, seamless handoff to the car is assured.

“One comment we hear often is that customers want to grab a quick meal for their kids before soccer practice but it’s a hassle to get them out of the car and into the store. FlyBuy makes the pickup process as easy as possible for busy parents,” said FlyBuy CEO Wil Merritt.

FlyBuy is planning on expanding to other local favorites in the coming months. The company takes suggestions from community members on restaurants they would like to see on the app. In other words, stay tuned.
