The popular Stratford business is adding a 25,000-square-foot sour and barrel-aging brewery on 2.5 acres of newly acquired land adjoining the existing Stratford Avenue brewery.
The $12 million facility will feature a 50-barrel ROLEC brewhouse, storage for 2,000 wood barrels, a tasting room for up to 120 visitors overlooking a wetlands preserve and more.
Two Roads plans to expand its production, including batches Hexotic, Framboise Noir Black Raspberry Lambic, Urban Funk Wild Ale and Worker’s Stomp White Wine Barrel-Aged Saison, as well as launching new styles.
The plans won Zoning Commission approval late last month. The brewery hopes to open the new facility by early 2018.
