Westport Firm Sells Norwalk, Darien Restaurants

WESTPORT, Conn. --  Westport's HK Group recently sold three area eateries -- John Dough’s Pizza, Tim’s Philly Steaks and Backstreet Restaurant.

John Dough’s Pizza is a 3,300-square-foot restaurant and bar at 77 N. Main St., South Norwalk. The buyer, Sweet Lucy Lynn’s, will make renovations before opening for business.

Tim’s Philly Steaks is a 1,400-square-foot freestanding highly visible building on Route 1 at 336 Westport Ave., Norwalk. Royal Guard Fish & Chips is making renovations to the space and will open its new business soon.

Backstreet Restaurant is a 1,500-square-foot space at 22 Center St., Darien. The new owners, The Third Rail Restaurant, have renovated the interior and outdoor dining space and already have reopened.

Ralph Michel, senior vice president, handled the sales and has had 20 transactions in the past 12 months. He recently has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president at HK Group. During his relatively short career as a broker, he has made a niche for himself in the restaurant industry and has become a top restaurant broker in Fairfield County.
