Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Publisher and social media are required, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work well with other team members in a creative and vibrant environment. Applicants must also demonstrate an interest in reading children’s literature.
An undergraduate degree in education is highly desirable. Library knowledge and/or experience in working with children ages birth to 12 is required. Science background or demonstrated aptitude for STEM programs is required. Artistic and/or creative skills are a plus.
The job is a part-time, hourly position. The schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, plus the third Saturday of each month. Candidates must be flexible and able to fill in for other staff as necessary.
