Wilton's Charles Grodin Shares His Showbiz Journey At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - The Ridgefield Playhouse will feature award-winning actor Charles Grodin of Wilton, who will share the story of his showbiz journey in a special event on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m.

Grodin has been called “a first rate storyteller” by the New York Times and a “natural born raconteur” by Newsweek. For more than 50 years, the well-known actor, comedian, author, and former talk show host, has been in the entertainment industry and has seen it all.

Probably best known for his role alongside Robert De Niro in the 1988 classic "Midnight Run," Grodin has earned Emmy and Golden Globe Awards alike. In a special event at The Ridgefield Playhouse, Grodin will take the audience on a comedic roller coaster ride sharing his voluminous comedic stories.

Grodin’s other film credits include roles in Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby," "The Heartbreak Kid," "Catch-22," "Heaven Can Wait," "Taking Care of Business," "Seems Like Old Times," "The Great Muppet Caper," "The Woman in Red," "The Lonely Guy," "Ishtar," "The Couch Trip" and more.

Ticketholders may enjoy a special $45 prix-fixe menu at Bernard’s, 20 West Lane, Ridgefield, or a free glass of wine with dinner, the day of this event when tickets are presented. Reservations are suggested. This event is part of The Ridgefield Magazine Broadway & Cabaret Series.
