Creative Writing Workshop Series Continues at Pequot Library In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Pequot Library Creative Writing Workshop Series continues on Saturday, March 19 at the Pequot Library, Fairfield.

The fun, inspiring, and supportive workshops will will use customized writing prompts. Led by Adair W. Heitmann and is free and open to the public, ages 17 and up.

Participants must bring their own writing implements. 

Each session will have a theme and verbal prompts will be given every 15 to 30 minutes to exercise the creative mind. 

The theme for the March 19 session is: Your rejuvenation - what is now showing in your life and your writing? 

These workshops are designed to provide an encouraging environment for beginning, intermediate, and advanced writers to help get their ideas onto the page. 

Whether it turns into a blog idea, an essay, a first paragraph, or the first or last page of a work, stimulation and motivation are the key ingredients. 

Writers are given the option to share their words with the group at the end of each session, providing them with positive feedback and a chanceto read their work aloud. 

Adair W. Heitmann is an award-winning author, artist, and teacher. Her work appears in hundreds of newspapers, is published in over 30 magazines, and in three anthologies. 

She has been writing for her Creativity and Wellness blog for over seven years and was the co-author of the Fairfield Writer's Blog from 2009 to 2015.

The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Saturdays of each month through May at the library, 720 Pequot Ave., Farifield.
