Comedy Show To Benefit Westport’s Clasp Homes

WESTPORT, Conn. – Laughter will be part of the prescription for helping adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in and around Westport at CLASP Homes' night of stand-up comedy Wednesday during CLASP’s 30th anniversary celebration.

CLASP Homes is a Westport-based nonprofit that serves adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. It operates group homes and supervised apartments in Westport, Norwalk, Wilton, Fairfield, Trumbull, Stratford, Shelton and Easton.

The anniversary celebration will include a performance by comedians Jon Fisch and Moody McCarthy at Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne. Fisch, who has opened for Jerry Seinfeld at Gotham Comedy Club, was named one of Comedy Central’s “Fresh Faces of Comedy.” He was also named one of the “10 Standout Stand-ups” by Backstage Magazine. He performs regularly in New York at Gotham Comedy Club and Comedy Cellar.

McCarthy, a 20-year veteran, has opened for Wanda Sykes. Some of his TV credits include "Last Comic Standing," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Star Search" and "Comcast Comedy Spotlight." Both Fisch and McCarthy recently appeared on the “Late Show with David Letterman.”

The comedy show starts at 8 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a pre-show party with complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar. The food will be provided by the Brasserie and 55 Wine Bar & Restaurant.

Tickets are $45 and $55 and can be purchased from the Fairfield Theatre Company website or by calling FTC at 203-259-1036. All proceeds will benefit CLASP Homes.
