RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Playhouse is set to host a concert from The English Beat on Tuesday.
The ska, pop and reggae band is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse for a special one-night concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release. The band, known as The Beat in the UK, will play a variety of songs including "Save It For Later," "I Confess" and "Hands Off She's Mine," according to the release.
"Just one listen to the vocals of founder and lead singer Dave Wakeling of The English Beat, harkening back to the 80’s sound, and everyone in the house starts dancing," representatives said in the release. "The English Beat became one of the most popular and influential bands of the British Two Tone Ska movement. Now, they’re comin’ to America where the infectious beat goes on."
