The free YMCA's Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program at the Wilton Y offers participants help with regular monitoring at home, support and nutritional guidance to improve their health.

Research has shown that the simple process of checking and recording blood pressure at least twice a month for four months, along with regular physical activity, proper nutrition and reducing sodium intake, may lower blood pressure in those with hypertension, according to the Wilton Y.
