Genesis Tribute Band To 'Sell England By The Pound' At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the album "Selling England by the Pound," a Genesis tribute band will re-create the album in its entirety in a concert at the Ridgefield Playhouse.

Montreal-based group The Musical Box has meticulously duplicated all of the masks, costumes, makeup, accessories, sets, lighting design, special effects, choreography and musical presentation from the original Genesis show.

Access to the slides used by Genesis in its tour completes the visual re-creation. According to a press release, The Musical Box is the only band to have acquired the performing rights to the album from Genesis itself.

The show is on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. at the Playhouse, located at 80 East Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
