The timely and provocative film will be shown by a private medical practice known as n1Health, which is renting out the Ridgefield Playhouse and inviting the community to see this film for free.
After the film screening, Dr. Thomas V. Cigno and Dr. Erin Martin, who are featured in the film, will answer questions from the audience.
"Escape Fire" examines the forces behind the medical industry’s quick-fix mentality rather than prevention focus, and profit-driven care rather than patient-driven care, n1Health said in a press release. The movement is trying to bring innovative high-touch, low-cost methods of prevention and healing into our high-tech, costly system. This film follows dramatic human stories as well as leaders fighting to transform healthcare at the highest levels of medicine, industry, government and the military, the press release said.
n1Health is an elite network of private ("concierge") medical practices that adhere to the vision of extending the productive lives of patients by packaging and delivering state-of-the-art, highly personalized care to achieve effective disease prevention and reversal.
