Sign Taken From Lawn in North Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A Hilltop Drive man told police Monday that a caution marker had been stolen from his lawn.

The man said the bright orange marker, telling drivers to slow down, had been taken sometime between Saturday and Monday. He told police that since he got the marker about a year ago, the small flag attached to the marker had been removed.

Police closed the investigation on the theft.

Homeowners on Sullivan Road told police Friday that mailboxes had been destroyed.

On Saturday, police received a complaint of a loud party on Bogtown Road.

Animal Control Officer Trish Gallagher was called to Sugar Hill Road Saturday when a resident found an untagged golden retriever. Gallagher took the dog.
