Hot Tuna is set to perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7. Hot Tuna’s founding members, who are also founding members of Jefferson Airplane, are Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen. The two will play their signature acoustic and electric blues including the singles “Been So Long,” “Keep on Truckin’” and “Eve of Destruction." This show is part of the Xfinity Rock Series with media sponsor WFUV 90.7fm.

"Starting out in the 1970s with an eponymous live recording, Hot Tuna wowed fans with their volume, musicianship and stamina," Ridgefield Playhouse representatives said. "They went on to record dozens of studio and live albums with a school of talented musicians including drummers, harmonica players, keyboardists, backup singers, violinists, mandolinists and more, all fitting in to Jorma and Jack’s musical spectrum. They’ve migrated to a focus on acoustic, which plays well in intimate venues like that of The Ridgefield Playhouse."

Tickets are $47.50 at the box office at (203)-438-5795, or online
