Nine-year-old Dillon Reilly and his sister Emily, 7, enjoyed some time out in the freshly fallen snow with their dog Ellie before the storm tapered off Friday night.
Although the brother-and-sister team was eager to go play in the snow, mom Elizabeth said, "They didn't last very long at all."
"They weren't outside more than 10 minutes," Elizabeth said in an email.
The same went for Ellie, their year-old German shepherd.
Though the cold was more than the kids could bear, Elizabeth said it won't stop them from trying again Saturday.
