WESTPORT, Conn. Southport resident Laura Fray is facing a forgery charge in Westport, police said.
Fray, 37, was arrested Saturday night in Southington and turned over to Westport police on a warrant. The warrant stems from an incident in May where Fray tried to cash a forged check for $200 at Chase Bank, police said.
Fray was charged with third-degree forgery and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. Additionally, Fray was wanted by Trumbull police on two warrants for second-degree failure to appear. She was unable to post bond and was arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court Monday morning.

? A 19-year-old Fairfield resident was charged with drug possession in Westport on July 25 after an officer spotted her car cross the double yellow centerlines, twice, on Hillspoint Road, police said.
When Leslie McNulty was stopped, the officer smelled alcohol coming from inside the car. McNulty performed all field sobriety tests to standard, but alcohol was found inside the car. This prompted a search of the car, during which officers found ecstasy pills, a small amount of marijuana and a bong with marijuana residue, police said.
McNulty was charged with possession of a controlled substance. She was also given an infraction ticket for possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on Aug. 4.
? Westport resident Dennis Sclafani, 56, was arrested July 22 after he drove into the Fresh Market parking lot and approached two officers in an unmarked car, police said. When Sclafani, of 2 Cherry Lane, approached the officers, they smelled alcohol on his breath. When a marked police car arrived, Sclafani was asked to perform field sobriety tests. Police said Sclafani refused. He was charged operating under the influence and following too closely, police said. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on Aug. 4.
