One of Norwalk Shooting Deaths Ruled a Homicide

NORWALK, Conn. – The death of one of two shooting victims found in a parked car Saturday morning has been ruled a homicide, a spokesperson for the Connecticut Medical Examiner said. The male victim, Iroquois Alston, 27, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Autopsy results for the female victim, Rickita Smalls, 22, were not available. Both were residents of Bridgeport.

The pair were found dead at about 7:45 a.m. in a car parked on Avenue B. Smalls was sitting in the driver's seat and Alston was in the passenger seat. The car had damage caused by gunshot.

Their deaths are mysterious, as neighbors did not know them and had not seen the car before.

Norwalk Police had said they would release the information Tuesday, but it has not been released yet, according to Deputy Chief Thomas Kulhawik.
