New Canaan Offices, Schools Close for Holiday

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan town offices will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.

Town Hall and other town office facilities, including Vine Cottage, which houses the Human Services office, and Irwin Park, home to the Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetlands and Building departments, will all be closed until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. The town’s transfer station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

All New Canaan schools are closed on Monday also. St. Aloysius School will be closed for the holiday and on Tuesday for the Diocese of Bridgeport’s Teaching Institute. New Canaan Country School and St. Luke’s School will also be closed on Monday.
