Take Note Of Mount Vernon Holiday Garbage Pickup Schedule

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The following garbage pickup schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week in Mount Vernon.

  • Regular Thursday Southside garbage and rubbish pickup on Wednesday.
  • Regular Northside recycling of bottles, cans and plastic on Wednesday.
  • Wednesday Southside recycling of bottles, cans and plastic on Friday.
  • Regular Northside garbage and rubbish pickup on Friday.

Alternate side of the street parking is suspended on both sides of the street on Thanksgiving Day.

Refer to sanitation schedules for changes in pick-ups during holiday weeks by clicking here. Recyclables and yard waste will not be picked up in plastic bags.
