Five games were played on Sunday, but before the first "pitch," a moment of silence was held to remember Ted Hughes, Guy Angione and Kim Silver. The three passed away recently, but played significant roles in developing Oradell's young athletes.
"It was a very special day", Rob Monaco, Tee Ball co-Commissioner and coach for Oradell Little League said in a statement. "To see the faces of these kids as the River Dell Hawks paid them a visit was priceless. It was part of the vision Leon Grebla and I had when we spoke back in March. Make the season great, keep the families happy, motivate and teach these kids and most importantly, have fun."
