RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Musician Jimmy Cliff, perhaps best known for his song "I Can See Clearly Now," is coming to the Ridgefield Playhouse.
Cliff is set to perform his hits like “Wonderful World, Beautiful People,” “Come Into My Life,” “You Can Get It If You Really Want It” and “Wild World” at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ridgefield Playhouse. The performance is part of Cliff's 2013 "Many Rivers Crossed Tour" to support his latest Grammy-award winning album "Rebirth."
"Cliff will play his classic hits and tell the stories behind them, accompanied by his band," said Playhouse representatives in a press release. "Special guest is singer/songwriter Ethan Tucker whose soulful mix of electric and acoustic shines through on his most recent album Lost Between."
The Little Pub on Ethan Allen Highway in Ridgefield is offering a free glass of wine or draft beer with dinner the night of the show when tickets/stubs are presented, according to the release.
For tickets, which are $70, residents are asked to call the box office at 203-438-5795 or order online at the Ridgefield Playhouse website.
