Rogers announced late last year that the world tour he is currently on would be his final time performing around the globe. After more than five decades of touring and entertaining the world, Rogers’s farewell tour, “The Gambler’s Last Deal,” will make a stop at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5:30 p.m. as part of the Mountain Country and Bluegrass Series.

“The Gambler’s Last Deal” concert features an all-new show, including a reflective look back through Rogers’s storied 50-plus-year career. Following the reception, Fairfield County Bank will be celebrated as this year’s gala honoree. Fairfield County Bank has been a consistent annual supporter of the Ridgefield Playhouse and has supported many area arts organizations.

This year’s Arts Volunteer award will be presented to Daniel C. Levine a member of the Ridgefield Playhouse Artistic Advisory Board. Levine, a Broadway veteran, has brought his expertise to the Playhouse expanding the Broadway and Cabaret Series bringing the highest level of entertainment and performers to the greater Ridgefield community.

Following the award presentations and live auction, ticket holders will see Rogers perform a night of hits including “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Lucille,” “We’ve Got Tonight,” “Through the Years” enhanced with personal stories, vintage photos and video clips. The music-filled retrospective will touch on every part of Rogers’ career. Along with his long list of hits, Rogers is singing songs in concert that he hasn’t performed in years.

Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. He has charted a record within each of the last seven decades. The first country artist to consistently sell out arenas, Rogers achieved pop superstardom as well — his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's rank him fourth-best of all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley. Rogers has recorded 24 No. 1 hits, 12 No. 1 albums, 25 Top 10 country albums and is the RIAA’s eighth best-selling male solo artist of all time. The Country Music Hall of Fame member has received three GRAMMY® Awards, 11 People's Choice Awards, 19 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards and six Country Music Association Awards, among many other accolades.

Tickets cost $195 and include open bar, dinner by top area restaurants, exciting silent and live auction items including a piece of Kenny Rogers memorabilia signed by Rogers on the night of the show.
