Kids Can Experience The Eclipse At Norwalk's Stepping Stones Museum

NORWALK, Conn. — Looking for a spot for the youngsters to check out the solar eclipse on Monday, Aug. 21? The Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk will be hosting activities Monday planned with the children of all ages in mind.

The museum's once-in-a-lifetime "Great American Eclipse" experience will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Amateur astronomers can see what happens when the sun disappears behind the moon. 

Visitors can witness the solar eclipse as it is captured streaming live from the sky in Connecticut and around the continental United States at the Stepping Stones state-of-the-art Multimedia Gallery.

Other activities include:

  • Eclipse glasses decorating activity for kids, all day.
  • Our World and Beyond, exploration of astronomy and earth science, from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
In Connecticut, we will experience 68 percent coverage of the sun from 1:25 to 4:45 p.m.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is located at 303 West Ave. in Norwalk.
