Medeski, Martin & Wood Play Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Jazz and funk are combined with more than two decades of performances when the Ridgeield Playhouse welcomes Medeski, Martin & Wood to the stage Oct. 10.                          

Keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Billy Martin have been performing together under different names since the 1990s and their live shows have been likened to a single organism.

Their latest album, "Free Magic," came out Sept. 25 and is a collection of recordings documenting their first acoustic tour in 2007.

During the course of 21 years, Medeski, Martin & Wood have forged an indelible chemistry on the bandstand that’s fueled countless concerts around the world and 18 cutting-edge albums.
