The tour is hosted by volunteer Bonnie Tremante, who is also a local scholar and poet. She will discuss love letters exchanged between artist Julian Alden Weir and his fiancée at the time, Anna Dwight Baker, during the summer of 1882.
Participants will learn about how nature connected Weir and Baker, who were later married, and the link between art, love and the surrounding landscape of Weir farm.
The walk is free. Registration is required due to limited space. To register or for more information about the Nature of Love Walk, call 834-1896, ext. 28.
Tremante graduated with a bachelor's in English from Pennsylvania State University and a master's in reading and language arts from Montclair University and earned a humanities and writing certificate of advanced study from Wesleyan University. She taught for 14 years in the English Department of the Wilton Public Schools.
