New Canaan Police Department Swears In Three New Officers

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Three new officers were sworn in to the New Canaan Police Department during a ceremony on Tuesday, July 1, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

David W. Rivera, 26; Shane M. Gibson, 30; and Anthony D. Signore, 45, all have the added benefit of having served with other police forces before joining the New Canaan Department, the New Canaan Advertiser said. 

Rivera is married and lives in Bridgeport. He has been serving as a patrol officer with the Bridgeport Police Department since 2011, the New Canaan Advertiser reported. 

Gibson is a Stamford resident along with is wife and previously served in the Southern Connecticut State University Police as well as the police department in Gunnison, Colo., the paper said. 

Signore is a married father of three who lives in Norwalk. He previously worked for the Redding Police Department, according to the Advertiser.
