Ridgefield Playhouse Presenting Brits Best Rockers 50 Years Later

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Sharing the stage for the first time ever, the iconic singers of the legendary 1960s music revolution Gerry & The Pacemakers, Chad & Jeremy, Billy J. Kramer, Mike Pender's Searchers and Denny Laine of The Moody Blues and Wings will re-enact their “British Invasion” at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m.

The show will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ arrival in the U.S. and the music movement that soon followed.

The evening’s set list includes “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying,” “Yesterday’s Gone,” “Sugar And Spice,” “Bad To Me” and “Go Now.”

The special event will also include a multi-media video show of rarely seen archival footage. Special guest is Peter Asher, best known as one-half of '60s hit makers Peter & Gordon, who recorded the Brit hit “World Without Love.”

Bissell House, at 378 Main St., will pour a complimentary glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of the concert when tickets are presented. An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass for an additional $25 per person, which includes a cocktail party from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors d’oeuvres and priority parking, is available by calling the box office.
