The show with of the nation's most recognized musical groups begins at 8 p.m. and is partially underwritten by Hastings, Cohan & Walsh LLP and Nutmeg Livery Services. Tickets are $125.
Over a career that spans more than 40 years, KC and The Sunshine Band has achieved three triple platinum albums, three Grammy Awards, (including Album of the Year for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack) and an American Music Award. They became the first act since The Beatles to score four No. 1 pop singles in one 12-month period in 1976.
The band's hits include "That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love" and "Get Down Tonight",.
The show is part of the Playhouse's Pepsi Rock Series. The event includes free hors d’oeuvres prior to the show. The best 70’s outfits will also win prizes.
