Agent Helps Clients in Decision-Making Process

You are just as likely to see real estate agent Brian Carr-Smith with clients around town as you are to see him playing with his three children at a park in Larchmont. That’s because this professional at Coldwell-Banker Residential Brokerage does more than just help others buy and sell homes on the Sound Shore — he's also chosen it as a place to raise his own family. Carr-Smith says his personal connection with the area is what allows him to identify local client needs.

“Living where I work, I know the many factors that will impact a real estate decision for people here since my family and I [live] with them, too: commuting, schools, parks, neighborhoods and resale,” he says.

Carr-Smith also understands how important it is to his clients to find the best place to settle. He sets out to make the choices a bit easier on his website by providing home-buying and home-selling tips along with the latest market trends in Rye, Larchmont, New Rochelle and Mamaroneck.

“I’m very analytically driven in helping people make decisions,” adds Carr-Smith.

With a business focus on commercial and residential real estate, his experience in buying and selling everything from offices and condos to co-ops and multifamily homes serves as a benchmark of his versatility.

Another source of insight Carr-Smith brings are his own experiences. Before settling in Larchmont, he and his wife, Jennifer, relocated every two years and built a house from the ground up. That expertise has led him to teach clients to look toward the future.

Most homes in the areas he sells are five- to seven-year investments for their owners and should be looked at as such.

“Whether it’s to buy or sell, I supply [them] with critical data and what I think are some of the risks and concerns of the property — and once we get into the [real estate transaction], it’s managing it in an efficient manner,” he says.

When he isn’t working as a real estate agent, Carr-Smith plays an active role in his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Mamaroneck. He also spends time with his wife Jennifer and three children: Caitlin, 9, Connor, 7, and Caroline, 3.

Coldwell Banker consistently ranks Carr-Smith every month as a top-performing agent in the Westchester region. He was also ranked as one of the top 10 agents for most revenue generated in 2010.
