Popular in Australia, the group's harmony drenched country-folk, has created a loyal fan base in the United States. The Waifs have sold millions of albums, toured Australia and North America with Bob Dylan and now they’re back, digging deep into songs of passion and despair, love and longing, homesickness and home.

The Waifs began when siblings Donna and Vicki Simpson, already performing as a duo, met Josh Cunningham at an informal jam session and instantly found musical kindred spirits. They toured Australia in a Kombi van throughout the 90’s, playing every gig possible and developing a growing fan base until releasing their self-titled debut in 1996.

The Waif released a new album, "Beautiful You," featuring their songwriting, instrumental and vocals.

Tickets ( $37.50) are available at the box office by calling (203) 438-5795, or at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.

The performance is at 8 p.m., with free wine tasting in the lobby at 7:15 p.m. at the Playhouse, 80 East Ridge, Ridgefield.
