The event will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 15 in Branson Hall at Christ and Holy Trinity, 75 Church Lane.
The gala's proceeds will benefit Play With Your Food, a midday theater series held in three Fairfield County locations – Westport, Fairfield and Greenwich. Lunch is served while attendees enjoy a play reading.
“Imagine Play With Your Food combined with a party,” said Marianne Goodell, gala committee chair. “Branson Hall will provide the elegant backdrop for a festive evening of cocktails, food and, of course, what does PWYF does best, top notch performances. Join the party and support a gem of a local organization.”
Carole Schweid, PWYF artistic director, said, “We’ve asked some of our favorite actors and playwrights to help us create a one-of-a-kind evening. Several Broadway performers will be singing, and favorite Play With Your Food actors will do at least two funny short plays from our most outrageous playwrights.”
Those who attend may also take part in a silent auction. Festive dress with optional hats is encouraged. Catering sponsors for the event are Blue Lemon, Garelick & Herbs, Matsu Sushi and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, all in Westport. Also contributing are Black Duck, DaPietro, Dan’s Liquors, Oscar’s, Tutti’s The Pantry and The Sodaman.
