Toots and the Maytals Bring Reggae To Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Reggae stars Toots and the Maytals are bringing their Unplugged Acoustic Tour to the Ridgefield Playhouse Oct 30.

Toots Hibbert has been called one of Jamaica’s legendary voices; his career spans across all development of Jamaican music.

Toots and the Maytals currently have the record for number one hits in Jamaica, a total of 31.

The band has been working together since their first single “Do The Reggae” was released in 1968. The band won the 2005 Grammy award for best reggae album True Love, consisting of re-recorded versions of their classics. In 2008, Toots received another Grammy nomination for his release of “Light Your Light".

Guitar player and songwriter Anders Osborne will be joining the group as their special guest.
