Bastille Day, on Tuesday, July 14, commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, marking the end of the monarchy and the beginning of the modern republic (and France's independence). In Fairfield County it means special events highlighting the country's delicious food and wine.

A sampling of upcoming celebrations follows.
