Day After Thanksgiving Movie at Wilton Library: 2 p.m. The library will screen "Brave." The movie is suitable for all ages. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver and children under 12 must have a caregiver in the building. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Fiber Fridays at the Wilton Historical Society: 10 a.m. to noon. Come stitch and chat about your handiwork, ask questions and share stories. All are welcome. Come and discover more about the Wilton Historical Society's Fiber Arts while working on your own fiber project. Knitting, stitching, hooking, crocheting, weaving are available. Coffee and tea served. Host Arlene Parkhurst will be available to untangle your questions. Admission is free for society members and $10 for non-members. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.
Shop Wilton Day: All day. The Wilton Chamber of Commerce will host its first Shop Wilton Day in conjunction with American Express' Small Business Saturday. The Wilton Chamber of Commerce has teamed with local businesses, retailers and merchants, who will be offering special sales, discounts, promotions, and events throughout the day. Une Minette, Vintage Fine Wines, Sweet Pierre’s, Open House Gifts, Krik It, Signature Style, Campus Jewelers, Bella & Co., Renaissance Beauty, B Chic, and Snappy Gator are just a few of the merchants participating in this unique day of shopping local. “Eight Decades of Creation” at Silvermine Art Center: 1 to 5 p.m. Continuing with the 90th celebration of the Silvermine Arts Center, the historic exhibit features "Reuben Nakian: Eight Decades of Creation" showcasing his small sculptures and works on paper. His assistant, Derek Uhlman, A Silvermine Guild Artist member, provides insights into his work. Silvermine Art Center, 1037 Silvermine Road.
