Monday, Jan. 28 Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission: 7:15 p.m. The commission will have a regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 Wilton Board of Selectmen Budget Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Selectmen will have a meeting to discuss the proposed 2013-14 budget. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Wednesday, Jan . 30 Facebook For The Faint Of Heart at Wilton Library: 12:30 p.m. If you are a baby boomer, senior, or someone who just has not had time to devote to the exploration of social media until now, this class is for you. Mary Anne Franco will show you what Facebook is about, how to post photos, message your “friends,” find “friends” and talk about privacy settings. This is a demonstration-style class. Creation Station at Wilton Library: 4 to 5 p.m. Each week different materials will be available for children in grades K through 5 to make any creation they choose. This is the perfect opportunity for children to innovate, communicate, and express themselves in a free-form environment. Some materials that may be available are Legos, arts and crafts materials, model cars, Lego Technics, science kits, and more. The program is for children in grades kindergarten to 5 with caregivers in the building. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.  Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Thursday, Jan. 31 Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library Screen “Switch”: 7 to 9 p.m. Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library co-sponsor the screening the environmental film, “Switch,” a narration about the sweeping transition from coal and oil to the energies of tomorrow. Friday, Feb. 1

Fiber Fridays at Wilton Historical Society: 10 a.m. to noon. Come to stitch and chat about your handiwork, ask questions, share stories and anything that comes to mind. All are welcome. Come and discover more about the Wilton Historical Society's Fiber Arts while working on your own fiber projects. Knitting, stitching, hooking, crocheting, weaving projects are welcome. Coffee and tea will be served. Host Arlene Parkhurst will be available to untangle your questions. Admission is free for society members and $10 for non-members. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.

The Lounge at Wilton Library: 3:30 p.m. Children in grades 1 and up are invited to play video games on the Wilton Library’s Nintendo Wii system any time from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Comfortable seating will be available. Caregivers must remain in the building for children under age 12. The room will be open every Friday as long as there is available staff. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
