What To Do in Wilton This Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – A haunted library, high school football and a pumpkin festival are some of the events planned for this weekend in and around Wilton. 

Friday

Fiber Fridays at the Wilton Historical Society: 10 a.m. to noon. All are welcome. Come and discover more about the Wilton Historical Society's Fiber Arts while working on your own fiber projects. Knitting, stitching, hooking, crocheting, and weaving. Coffee and tea served. Host Arlene Parkhurst will be available to untangle your questions. Admission is free for historical society members and $10 for non-members. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.

The Haunted Library: 7 to 9 p.m. Do you dare take a walk through the haunted library?  Children ages 6 to 10 are invited to drop in any time between 7 and 9 p.m. to join in the spooky, spine tingling after-hours library experience.  Ghoulish snacks will be served and ghostly games will be played. Entry is $5 per child at the door. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund. Saturday

Wilton High School Football: 2 p.m.  The Wilton High School Warriors will travel to New Canaan to face the New Canaan Rams. New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road.

Wilton Pumpkin Festival: 2 to 4 p.m. Need somewhere safe and well-lit to take your little pumpkin to snag a respectable haul on All Hallow’s Eve? Come to the Wilton Children’s Halloween Parade This annual community event celebrates creativity and imagination. Wilton Center.

Sunday

Wilton Halloween Hustle 5K and Scarecrow Scamper Kids Run: 10 a.m. to noon.  Join your neighbors for an active, healthy start to Halloween. The Wilton Chamber presents the 10th annual Halloween Hustle 5K and Scarecrow Scamper kids run. This fast and fun, timed and measured course winds through Wilton Center and up to the high school. Wilton Center.
