What To Do in Wilton This Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – Here are a few highlights of things to do in and around Wilton this weekend. See our Events Calendar for more items.

Friday, Nov. 30 Fiber Fridays at the Wilton Historical Society: 10 a.m. to noon. Come to stitch and chat about your handiwork, ask questions, share stories and anything else that comes to mind. All are welcome. Come and discover more about the Wilton Historical Society's Fiber Arts while working on your own fiber projects. Knitting, stitching, hooking, crocheting, weaving. Coffee and tea are served. Host Arlene Parkhurst will be available to untangle your questions. Admission is free for historical society members and $10 for non-members. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.

Saturday, Dec. 1 Great Trains Holiday Exhibit at Wilton Historical Society:  11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Wilton Historical Society will have its Great Trains holiday exhibit. Come and see a variety of trains. The exhibit continues through Dec. 21. Tickets are free for historical society members and $10 for non-members. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road. 

Sunday, Dec. 2 Landscape Artist C. Sperry Andrews III Art Exhibit Reception at Wilton Library: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Selected works of landscape artist C. Sperry Andrews III will be on exhibit at Wilton Library in December. The collection features the late artist’s paintings and drawings from the 1950s to 1980s. Captured images from Weir Farm, Block Island and New York state in oil, watercolors, pencil and pastels will be on display. Some of the artworks will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the library. The reception is open to the public. The exhibit continues through Dec. 28.
