WILTON, Conn. – Wilton is starting the process of cleaning up and restoring itself Tuesday after Hurricane Sandy left behind power outages and road closures.
As of 9:10 a.m., more than 5,800 Connecticut Light and Power customers in town are without power, which is 80 percent of the town’s customer base. Several roads remain closed due to downed trees and power lines.
Because of the power outages, all Wilton Public Schools remain closed today.
