The environmental conservation and sustainability celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4 at the Wilton Town Green. The festival promises to feature original handcrafted goods, children’s activities, eco-conscious information and resources from sustainability professionals, local and organic fare and live entertainment from Wilton musicians.
"Exciting, new participants join past favorites this year, including Atka, the beautiful Artic gray wolf," representatives said. "An ambassador from the Wolf Conservation Center,12-year old Atka has inspired and educated hundreds of people about the vital role that wild wolves play in the environment and our role in protecting their future. Sponsored by Deloitte, LLC, Atka’s presence at this year’s festival reinforces the importance of our shared responsibility for the well being of our planet and all who inhabit it."
The Westport Electric Car Club will come into town in the morning with about 30 energy-efficient vehicles as a stop along the 2nd annual EV Rally route. Long-time Emerald Sponsor, Deloitte, LLC will be joined by Community Innovations Grant for the Clean Energy Finance & Investment Authority, this year’s Gold Sponsor, and Silver Sponsors Apple Blossom School, Bankwell, Next Step Living and Realty Seven Wilton.
