That’s the night for Wilton Library’s 16th Annual Ladies’ Soirée, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The event is a longstanding tradition for friends and neighbors to get together in the library to talk, taste and treat themselves to a good time with hors d’oeuvres and wine to start the evening.
In addition to a silent auction and a drawing for JetBlue tickets, this year’s fundraiser will feature with palm readings, Tarot cards and crystal ball readings.
The proceeds benefit Wilton Library’s programs and services.
"This event is always so much fun to host," said Priscilla Thors, a co-chair of seven previous soirées, in a press release. "It’s so satisfying to see women enjoying themselves, catching-up from the summer, comparing notes about their kids’ teachers, classes, and just having a relaxing night out designed just for them.”
Robin Axness, development director for Wilton Library agreed. “We have so many items in the silent auction that are tailor-made for our audience – items for pampering, healthy living, and kids’ parties," she said.
"We have a few women’s parties that sound like a lot of fun, too! The best part is that the library benefits from all of it.”
The committee members for the event are Charlie Albers, Amy Cooper, Suzanne Lishnoff, Sarah McCall, Sarah Taylor, Tara Thompson and Jessica White.
Tickets for the event are $50 and may be purchased online or by calling Jennifer Wallace at 203-762-3950, ext. 239.
The Wilton Library is at 137 Old Ridgefield Road in Wilton Center.
