The eight Peachwaves owned by Greg Young in the area recently held a contest to see who could visit all the locations. Erway made the journey to frozen yogurt shops in Norwalk, New Canaan, Wilton, Mount Kisco, Armonk, Hartsdale, Mohegan Lake and Rye in about a month, earning him a free year of frozen yogurt at the Norwalk location, plus a $500 gift card to Amazon and a donation in his name to Spread Music Now.

Erway said he was never a fan of frozen yogurt, always considering himself more of an ice cream guy. But after seeing it was more healthy than most ice creams, he decided to give it a try. He liked it, and began going to the Peachwave in Norwalk regularly. When he heard about the contest, decided to go around trying the other locations.

"I refused to eat it, and now I won't ever eat ice cream again," Erway said. He said he is partial to his local Norwalk shop, but likes that each of the different locations he visited has their own set of flavors.

Heather Lewis, community outreach director for Peachwave in southern Fairfield and Westchester counties, said the contest was held to help spread the word about the eight locations that licensee Young has opened in the past year.

She said it was also to spread awareness about two organizations of which Young is chairman: BeFoundation and Spread Music Now. BeFoundation supports organizations focused on education and community outreach for disadvantaged youths in Connecticut. Spread Music Now focuses on in-school and out-of-school music education for youths.
