WILTON, Conn. — Fans of trains will find a special holiday treat at the Wilton Historical Society, which is displaying its Great Trains Holiday Exhibit at its location on Danbury Road in Wilton.
Train displays of all sizes — spread across nine tables with 16 different layouts with miniature towns and landscapes — are set up throughout the historical society's complex.
Families took in the displays this weekend, with lots of parents enjoying a flashback to their own childhood train memories.
"We've been here three or four times already in the last two weeks, and he loves it," said Derek Geiger, of Wilton, who was there to see the display with his 2-year-old son, Reto.
"He enjoys coming out here, loves to see the trains. He could spend hours here. ... I had them growing up as well, so it's a fun tradition to carry on. The display is great for the kids, and it's well done."
The exhibit will run until Jan. 18. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
