WILTON, Conn. -- More than 100 people gathered for the Annual Wilton Community Menorah on the First Night of Chanukkah.
Te attendees of all ages gathered to light Wilton’s community menorah for the first night of Chanukkah Sunday. Live festive holiday music was played while traditional dreidels and chocolate gelt coins were distributed.
The lighting has become an annual tradition in Wilton. Town officials were on hand to help light the menorah, including First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice, Selectman Dave Clune and state Rep. Gail Lavielle, as well representatives from State Police Troop G.
The lighting was sponsored by the Schneerson Center for Jewish Life and was led by Rabbi Levi Stone.
