WILTON, Conn. – Animals in Distress , a no-kill cat shelter in Wilton, is looking for a loving home for one of its newest residents —Cynthia.

About 3 years old, Cynthia—a "cute as a bug" torti/calico mix—was rescued by a good Samaritan after she came out of the woods looking for food.

“When it became clear, after posting Cynthia's picture around, that she was homeless, the nice rescuer had her spayed and vaccinated and asked us for help in finding her a loving home,” shelter organizers said.

Although she is in foster care, Cynthia needs a permanent home. According to her foster mom, Cynthia enjoys gazing out windows and curling up in bed next to her.

“Cynthia will make a wonderful, loyal and loving addition to a mellow home,” shelter organizers said.

In addition be being spayed and vaccinated, Cynthia is house trained.

Anyone interested in adopting Cynthia can meet her Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Animals in Distress headquarters, located at 238 Danbury Road (behind Wilton Town Hall), or by making an appointment.

The adoption fee is $100 and applications are required. Adoption applications and more information are available on the Animals in Distress website .
