New Canaan residents Trish and Eric Lobenfeld hosted a meeting to kick off an outreach initiative to better serve families in Connecticut.
The emotional disruption of having a catastrophically ill child is more than anyone should ever have to deal with alone, said Trish Lobenfeld, a member of Friends of Karen board of directors. Friends of Karen is there to help with basic day-to-day necessities that all too often cant be met due to financial and time management constraints.
Friends of Karen serves families in Fairfield, Middlesex and New Haven counties as well as northern New Jersey, New York City and surrounding counties.
