Twelve young artists, all children of hospital employees, were awarded “Best Artwork” ribbons for greeting card designs that are now available as “eWishes” for hospitalized patients.
Award-winning artists winning artists were Mia Ferraro of Cos Cob; Joey Merenda of Stamford; Alex Shaw of Greenwich; Sydney Toro of Stamford; Roberto Davison of Norwalk; Gabby McElwain of Cos Cob; Fiona Fabacher of Old Greenwich; Maria Davison of Norwalk; Keira Rafferty of Wilton; Jack Pavia of Rowayton; Emma Dibra of Stamford and Patrick Davison of Norwalk.
The cards were created during April’s “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” at the hospital. The electronic greeting cards, which include new baby congratulations, get well and birthday wishes, are available on the hospital’s website and can be sent to friends and loved ones hospitalized at Greenwich Hospital.
The children’s designs will also spread good wishes throughout the hospital as greeting cards placed on patients’ meal trays and as screensavers displayed on patient room computer screens.
At the ceremony, Greenwich Hospital President and CEO Frank Corvino presented the 12 talented young winners with framed copies of their cards. “Your artwork does important work at the hospital – helping our patients feel better, faster," Corvino told them.
