Two-year-old Cody Skypek was happy and he knew it Friday night at Bright Horizons' "Music on the Wilton Green" jam fest. The Wilton tot was among the children and parents who turned out to sing, have fun and groove to tunes like "The Hokey Pokey" and "Bingo."
"We thought it would be a fun way to give back to the community," said Bright Horizons at Wilton assistant director Joey Nielson.
The child care center put on the event not only for the families it serves in Wilton but for those in surrounding towns as well.
The Sunshine Road Show entertained with a mix of popular kids songs and hits from the '60s such as "I'm a Believer" and "The Twist." Nielson said the freedom music gives kids to sing and dance very beneficial. "There is no wrong way to do those things," he said.
The kids also decorated their own tambourines and maracas so they could play along with the Sunshine Road Show and had their faces painted by one of Bright Horizons' teacher.
