Learn to Strike a Target at Wilton Family Y

WILTON, Conn. – You could become the next Robin Hood if you join the new Archery Club at the Wilton Family Y .

Students of Wilton High School started the club after junior Matt Koh contacted the Y to see if its archery summer camp program could be held during the school year.

“We are very excited to be hosting the Wilton Archery Club students here at the Y,” said Camp Director Aaron Britton in a release. “Archery is a great sport, and we’re glad we can help support the club.”

Britton said that archery has never been offered outside the summer camp program and is pleased to know the facilities will be used.

Archery Club sessions will begin on Saturday, April 28, continuing for nine weeks through June 16. Two hour-long sessions will be held each Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon and noon to 1 p.m. Cost to participate in the Archery Club for the spring season is $10 for a single time slot or $20 for both, with a maximum enrollment of 10 students in each.

Participants should bring their own equipment, since only a limited number of bows are available at the Y. Registration can be made through the Y's website or at its front desk.
